John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16
That was the first thing that came to my mind when I was trying to
think of a title for this week, so we'll just go with it. Also, it's a
good song, so y'all can go listen to it.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
I know I already shared this on Facebook (still sounds weird to say
that) but I love this scripture because GOD LITERALLY LOVES US SO
MUCH. Not even joking. How amazing is it that if we believe (and do
our very best) we will have eternal life. Flipping awesome. But wait,
there's more. The very next verse says:
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but
that the world through him might be saved.
Woah. Christ didn't come down to make us feel useless or unimportant
or discouraged about being completely imperfect. Cause we are
imperfect and we don't really deserve, or at least, we often don't
feel that we deserve God's love. But we receive it. And He does love
us. And He sent His son to die for us. And Jesus loves us. He doesn't
want to make us feel sad or like we can't do this. He wants us to have
hope and faith and to believe in Him AND in ourselves. It reminds me
of something that Dieter F. Uchtdorf said in a conference talk one
time:
"God sees you not only as a mortal being on a small planet who lives
for a brief season--He sees you as His child. He sees you as the being
you are capable and designed to become. He wants you to know that you
matter to Him."
Just think about that y'all. Sorry I'm getting really lovey and
feelingsy. My emotions are flying all over the place. I have 10 weeks
left and that's freaking me out. I'm not thinking about it a lot and
just focusing on the work and my roomies and scambi and it's awesome
but yeah. This was an unnecessary part of this email but there's my
feelings flying out.
Also, I got to go to Rimini (My first city where I spent 7.5 months)
and it was awesome and also a roller-coaster of emotions because I
love those people so much and haven't seen them in a long time. I love
Italy so much. I never want to leave place that has become home.
Also, I got peed on this week. :)

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue
Something old
• Our apartment. LOL it has been an Anziani apartment for almost two
decades and for the first time in forever there are now Sorelle living
here. But it's super nice (cause it's spacious, not pretty). And we're
making it cuter and girly-er to try to cover up the burnt baseboard
and missing pieces of the apartment, etc.
• Two of my old comps (My babies) are in my zone and it makes me so
happy. In fact, of my posterity and lots of my favorite people will be
in zone conference and I'm so excited to see what these next few
months hold!
• The gospel of Jesus Christ, but heck, of course it is because we
read that "God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him
there is no variableness neither shadow of changing..." (mormon 9:9).
But it is still just as good as ever!! I love the gospel of Jesus
Christ and what it can do for us as individuals and families.
Something new
• New apartment (to us lol)
• New Sorelle (Sorella Montgomery is training a greenie and I love
both of them so much) it has been a BLAST living with them and I have
shot all of them with the nerf guns at least 50x.
• We are getting new phones in the mission (smart phones) at zone
conference and that is super exciting!!
Something borrowed
• The Firenze STLs came to stay at our apt Sunday night because we
had Consiglio Monday in Milano so we went to the station to pick them
up. We were waiting and then they called and in the middle of the
phone call, I dropped the phone on the ground and it broke. Whoops.
(It's already 10pm) We were running around asking nuns if we could use
their phone, paying for a public phone that didn't work, and then the
Rimini Anziani honk their car horn at us...!! We end up using their
phone to call the Sorelle back and everything worked out più o meno.
Anyways, so we're borrowing a random extra phone that was in the
Reggio Emilia apt this week because we were phone less and broken.
Something blue
• Okay, so y'all probably saw my post on Facebook (still feels weird)
so y'all know that my mission now does online proselyting. At first
when they presented the idea, I was pretty hesitant because I didn't
know to be a missionary AND have Facebook, but as we've been trying
out this week, it's been super cool to see how it works!! It's so
awesome because now when people ask "do you have a Facebook?" We're
like "YEAH!" And then we become friends with everyone. its awesome. I
know that this work is the work of the Lord and that He is hastening
it here in Italia and all over the world. It is incredible to see the
changes made and all the miracles that come from living the gospel of
Jesus Christ! If y'all have any questions about my church or the Book
of Mormon or my mission, message me on Facebook!
Love y'all,

2 - 1 = 4
What is this math, you ask?
2 missionaries- 1 dying missionary= 4 missionaries
Cioè:
My comp is dying (as in she finishes her mission tomorrow) and so as
normal, I'm getting a new comp to replace her. However, little
surprise: we're also getting 2 other Sorelle in our apartment. (They
are training so I'm about to have a lot of fun with this greenie) Oh,
AND we're switching apartments with the Anziani. So, yeah. I'm a
little thrown off by the whole situation. But it's all gonna work out
:]
We have spent the past couple days packing and moving and being
confused and crying and acting crazy and eating Gelato and moving some
more. Cause let me tell y'all, it is NOT easy moving apartments in
Italy. With buses. And a bunch of suitcases and bags. In dresses. We
were quite the sight this week to say the least. But I'm so super
stoked for these last 2 transfers. IT'S GONNA BE WHEY AWESOME. (This
is what happens when the Anziani have their stuff all over your
apartment.)
I'm whey excited to see what these next 3 months hold. There are going
to be 3 sorelle depending on me for directions and I've been here for
1 transfer and we moved... LOL HALP. We're gonna be lost a lot.
Speaking of getting lost...
We got lost in the mountains with Owni and the anziani and my comp and
I ended up putting flowers in each others hairs. (Yes, there will be
pictures) Anyway, while we were walking, we heard horses neighing in
the distance and we were like "Oh hey, are there horses around here?"
Then Owni perked up and said, "There's snakes around here and they
sound like horses." Ummmmmmm okay. Interesting. So: Snorses (snakes
that sounds like horses) are real, people. I heard em.
Yeah.
So, basically I feel like I'm living inside a snow globe and a super
excited little kid just came and shook it a bunch and then set it down
upside-down. That's my life rn. And it smells like man in our
apartment and that makes me feel weird. Also, there's ghosts of
Anziani haunting our apartment, traces of old name tags, whey, shoe
prints on the wall from handstand push-ups, scratches on the table,
nerf pellets and a broken airsoft gun... This is gonna be sick.
Love y'all,
Sorella Meager
p.s. God loves you. And so do I.
